Test Accommodations

Students must be registered with Disabled Student Programs and Services (DSPS) and have approved testing accommodations in order to access testing support services. If you have not already done so, please visit DSPS for more information on how to apply.

Accommodations are made on an individual basis. Such accommodations may include but are not limited to:

Extension of time
Use of a computer
Use of a calculator
Alternative mode of assessment (where appropriate to the disability)

In compliance with federal and state laws, 911爆料网 assures each student an equal opportunity to demonstrate competency or knowledge in a subject area at each point in the educational process. Students with disabilities are expected to demonstrate the same competency or knowledge as other students.

Note on campus testing accommodations:

When you have established testing accommodations with 911爆料网, they apply to all BC campuses鈥攊ncluding Panorama (Main), Southwest, Arvin, and Delano campuses. However, accommodations do not automatically transfer across the Kern Community College District.

If you are enrolled in courses at Porterville College or Cerro Coso College, you will need to establish accommodations separately with their DSPS offices. Likewise, if you have accommodations at Porterville or Cerro Coso and are taking classes at Bakersfield College, please register with the BC DSPS office to ensure your accommodations are in place.

Beginning Fall 2025, all accommodated testing requests and information for the BC Testing Center must be submitted through the .

Procedures for Students

Before scheduling an exam, you must first ensure you have officially requested your accommodations for your course and shared your Accommodation Letter with your faculty.

If you have not yet done this, please review the instructions on the Accommodations for DSPS Students page.

Please follow the steps below to schedule your exams:

Select 鈥淪chedule an Exam or Quiz.鈥�
From the top black menu, click 鈥淪chedule a test, mid-term or quiz.鈥�
You鈥檒l be taken to the Online Test Booking home screen. Click 鈥淣ext.鈥�
Select your course and click 鈥淣ext.鈥�
Enter the test details (date, time, etc.) as provided in your syllabus, then click 鈥淣ext.鈥�
Review the instructor information (this should already be filled in). Click 鈥淣ext.鈥�
Confirm that your approved accommodations are checked. Click 鈥淣ext.鈥�
Choose an available date and time for your exam, then click 鈥淣ext.鈥�
Review all details and click 鈥淔inish鈥� to submit your request.
After submitting, you鈥檒l receive a confirmation.
You can also schedule additional tests or review your upcoming appointments by selecting 鈥淢y Upcoming Events鈥� from the top menu.
- NOTE: If no accommodations appear, you have not been approved for testing accommodations. If you believe you should have testing accommodations, please contact the DSPS office to review your file and, if needed, schedule an appointment with a DSPS counselor.
